I grew up at the foot of Burnaby mountain in British Columbia. After secondary school, I spent some years working in recording studios and playing in bands when at the age of 24, I decided to pursue a degree in computer science at Simon Fraser University. This ignited my passion for computer programming and mathematics, although I still play in bands and love music! I live with my wonderful girlfriend and our cat Dougie in the East Village area of Vancouver.
The best way to test your understanding of something is try to recreate it, and that is where most of my projects begin. I love putting ideas into practice and seeing the results of the underlying mathematics. Click to explore some of the things I've worked on!
I've been involved in the Vancouver music community for over a decade, and have had the joy of playing in a number of bands in that time. Primarily I am a guitar player, but most currently I am singing in a band called Swear Jar
